The UK government will establish a new National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) to give the UK a leadership position in the development of Quantum Computing. The Centre will provide the equipment and expertise necessary to develop the underlying technologies for workable, scalable machines; enable the development of software; and enable companies to exploit the insights they bring for competitive advantage.
Abell Nepp is assisting the UKRI’s Science and Technology Funding Council (STFC) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to develop the brief and specification for the facility that will be among the first to build a working quantum computer.
