The Institute of Immunity and Transplantation, a partnership development between the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and University College London (UCL), will see world-leading research and clinical trials being brought together in a purpose-designed centre at the Royal Free Hospital.
Abell Nepp were appointed by Hopkins Architects for the new building which will provide 3,750 sqm of research space for the UCL Institute. The building also contains a patient hotel, seminar spaces and an underground car park.
The building will co-locate groups at the Royal Free campus of UCL alongside clinical services to stimulate joint working between researchers and clinicians helping to create a rich and conducive environment in which to conduct research and enable synergies between research projects.
