Abell Nepp Architects have been providing laboratory design services for the Medical Research Council’s (MRC) £65m eight-storey research building. The building is located on co-funder Imperial College London’s Hammersmith Campus.
The London Institute of Medical Sciences will support 300 researchers in epigenetics, quantitative biology, and genes and metabolism. Specialist areas include super-resolution and cryo-electron microscopy imaging facilities (including equipment such as FEI Titan Krios and Glacios TEMs).
Their proximity to the growing life sciences hub in White City, West London provides unique collaboration opportunities between MRC and Imperial College London and with the wider industry.
