The 13-storey Michael Uren Biomedical Engineering Research Hub comprises 10 storeys of research labs and offices located on the Imperial West Campus.
It contains medical technology to aid research on variety of conditions and enable Imperial’s scientists and clinicians to work with external companies to increase innovation opportunities.
Planned as generic laboratory layouts until specific research groups were identified during later design and construction stages, the building has proved adaptable incorporating nanotechnology facilities with cleanrooms, musculoskeletal research clinics, dementia research, and other laboratory typologies.
