Michael Uren Biomedical Engineering Research Hub - New Tenants
Three new science tenants will be moving into the remaining shelled floors of the 13-storey Uren Building which opened at the end of last year.
Abell Nepp Architects is carrying out the laboratory design for the Dementia Research Institute, Cardiovascular/Bioengineering Group, Environmental Research Group, and the School of Public Health.
The proposed laboratories occupy approximately 1,000m² of the overall 2,500m² space dedicated to research labs .
The spaces include large open laboratories, controlled temperature rooms, cleanroom, mass spectrometry, microscopy and electrophysiology and supporting secondary functions. Construction will commence in September with occupancy in the early spring 2021.
