DAERA AFBI Health Sciences
Abell Nepp Architects is providing laboratory design services for the new health sciences laboratory for Northern Ireland’s Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) Health Sciences building at Stormont.
The integrated consultant team led by lead architect, RPP, will design the 8,000+ square metre complex for DAERA’s Agri-Food Biosciences Institute (AFBI) as part of a major overhaul and expansion for the laboratory campus.
The AFBI carries out research and development for the DAERA which is responsible for food, farming, fisheries, forestry, sustainability policy and rural development across Northern Ireland.
The Health Sciences complex will equip the organisation’s veterinary sciences division with new ‘state of the art, modern and fit-for-purpose diagnostic laboratories.
